The Alabama Summer Series (Books 1-3) by J. Daniels
Where I Belong (Alabama Sumer #1) Goodreads’ Description:
When Mia Corelli returns to Alabama for a summer of fun with her childhood best friend, Tessa, there’s only one thing keeping her on edge. One person that she’d do anything to avoid.
Benjamin Kelly. World’s biggest dickhead.
Mia hates him with a fury and has no desire to ever see him again. When she decides to start her summer off with a bang and finally give away her v-card, she unknowingly hands it over to the one guy that excelled at making her life miserable, learning a valuable lesson in the process.
Always get the name of the guy you’re going home with.
Ben can’t get the girl he spent one night with out of his head. When she leaves him the next morning, he thinks he’ll never see her again. Until he sees her lounging by the pool with his sister.
Mia is determined to hate Ben, even though she can’t forget him.
Ben is determined to prove he’s not the same guy he used to be.
What happens when the one person you wish never existed becomes the one person you can’t imagine being without?
All I Want (Alabama Summer #2) Goodreads’ Description:
Luke Evans is a heartbreaker.
I didn’t want to give mine to him. Not when he kept me out.
He gave me enough, just enough to make me fall in love with him. I say this to convince myself. But I know the truth.
I would’ve fallen in love with him at a distance.
Handing my heart over to Luke was the easiest thing I’ve ever done. I was naive when I wished for more, when I hoped he wanted the same things I did.
I try to hate him. I try to forget him.
But it’s not that easy.
Love is a ruthless bitch, and I’m her latest victim.
Tessa Kelly is a man-eater.
When she sets her sights on you, she doesn’t just consume your heart, she goes for your soul.
What we had was perfect, real, and all I would ever want.
But she destroyed it.
She destroyed us.
I try to hate her. I try to forget her.
But it’s not that easy.
Love is for people who have hope, and I have none.
When I Fall (Alabama Summer #3) Goodreads’ Description:
For the past nine years, I’ve kept my heart as far away from my dick as possible.
Those two can’t be anywhere near each other. They don’t play nice, and one of them undoubtedly winds up getting hurt.
Not my dick. My dick is good.
The women I take home know exactly what they’re getting from me—sex. Nothing more. At least, that’s what’s supposed to happen. The sweet brunette from Kentucky I set my sights on tonight shouldn’t have been any different. I had her right where I wanted her. Where I needed her. But when my past comes walking into McGill’s pub, the woman in my arms decides to take things to a whole new level, putting me into a situation I never saw coming.
My heart is about to get fucked. My dick can sit this one out.
Giselle’s Review:
So I’ve been meaning to write this review for a while, but I didn’t think I’d ever be able to accurately put into words how AMAZING this series is, but I must write, and post, my review in order to spread the word about this incredible series.
The Alabama Summer Series has quickly become one of my all time favorites, and J. Daniels has definitely moved herself onto my list of “authors whose books I will always 1-click.”
This series has it all- and normally I would write a review on a book by book basis but nope, this ENTIRE SERIES is phenomenal and had everything I LOVE.
In Where I Belong, we meet Mia and Ben, who were childhood enemies (Ben being the bully and Mia the bullied) but they had to endure each others company as children because Tessa, Ben’s sister, is Mia’s BFF. When Mia goes back to Alabama to visit Tessa for the summer, she is placed back in Ben’s path, but the last thing Ben wants to do now is bully her- quite the opposite actually. Ben plans to win Mia over. These two are so perfect together and Ben is just – GAH, SO FREAKING PERFECT. I want- I NEED a guy like Ben in my life. Their relationship definitely has it’s extremely rocky moments, but at the end of the day these two were made for each-other.
So when you’re done being consumed by Ben and Mia’s story, get ready to be engulfed by Tessa and Luke’s in All I Want. If a tornado were to be a couple, it’d be Tessa and Luke. These two are an absolute hot mess, but boy are they HOT. They can argue like no other couple, but the chemistry they share is off the charts! Tessa knows what she wants out of life, but all Luke knows is that he wants Tessa in his bed. Luke and Tessa are also stubborn as hell. See the problem? Don’t worry if you don’t, you will once you read this book. *winks* Tessa is definitely my woman crush in this series, just because I love her incredibly feisty personality, and her relationship with Luke was so freaking entertaining. This book definitely gets all the hearts, and Luke gets all the heart eyes.
Oh, and have you heard about Tessa’s best friend, Reed? Well in When I Fall, not only will you hear about him but you’ll dream about him, think about him 24/7, and just totally and irrevocably fall in love with him. And can we just talk about the fact that J. Daniels wrote about a straight sexy guy and a straight hot girl being best friends and just friends?! I LOVE THIS.
So anyways, when new girl Beth comes into town, she definitely catches Reeds eye and vice versa, but Reeds already given his heart to someone before (and had it crushed), so he’s not very eager to hand it over again. Emotional unavailability aside, Reed is definitely book boyfriend material and I fell for him so very hard.
Okay, well if I’m being totally honest here, I fell head over heels for all the Alabama boys, but how could you expect me not to? J. Daniels wrote an entertaining, sexy, and hilarious bunch, and I can not wait to read the next book in this series, and the rest of J. Daniels’ books. Every book in The Alabama Summer Series is a 5 star MUST READ and I will recommend the crap out of this series because if you’re looking to spend your entire weekend at home with a group of sexy Alabama boys, this series is one that you need, ASAP. 😉
