Release Day Review: Last First Kiss by Lia Riley
A kiss is only the beginning…
Pinterest Perfect. Or so Annie Carson’s life appears on her popular blog. Reality is… messier. Especially when it lands her back in one-cow town, Brightwater, California, and back in the path of the gorgeous six-foot-four reason she left. Sawyer Kane may fill out those wranglers, but she won’t be distracted from her task. Annie just needs the summer to spruce up and sell her family’s farm so she and her young son can start a new life in the big city. Simple, easy, perfect.
Sawyer has always regretted letting the first girl he loved slip away. He won’t make the same mistake twice, but can he convince beautiful, wary Annie to trust her heart again when she’s been given every reason not to? And as a single kiss turns to so much more, can Annie give up her idea of perfect for a forever that’s blissfully real.
Silvana’s Review:
It’s a magical day when I start a Lia Riley book. She always delivers layered characters, fun dialogue, and lots and lots of sweet moments. Last First Kiss was no exception. Lia made me crave living in a ranch and having a lovely romance with a sexy sheriff. Oh man. Did I crave this entire book.
It has the perfect recipe:
– Two cups of once-in-a-lifetime romance
– One and a half cups of undeniable chemistry
– Two teaspoons of melt-y hero
– One big, ENORMOUS cup of swooning
– Five spoons of amazing one-liners
– And a teaspoon of rockstar, badass heroine
Sawyer Kane and Annie Carson, you guys are at the top of my “Characters I want to be with and be like” list. I adored every second of every scene Lia wrote in this book. All of Annie’s blog posts were A+ and seriously made me laugh-out-loud, belly-hurting.
The characters- I’m really excited to see more of them soon, and really happy Annie and Sawyer got their own story because they are ten times the cute and phenomenal.
I have no idea how Lia does it, but her books will always be one-click material, top of the ice cream, first choices.
