Pretty Pink Ribbons has been a book I have been waiting for, for a while now. It was totally worth it.
K.L. wrote life as it is. She wrote a book about pain and growing and love and friendship. She makes it sound so easy – writing. Her voice in the book, as Laney and Levi- holy macaroni, it’s so powerful and intriguing, in a way that makes you want to read the story all over again. It’s their epic love story.
I was already fully in love with Levi since Where We Belong, the first book in the series (though they are standalone’s), and I expected the feels to be strong, BUT NOT THAT STRONG. Damn it, K.L., you have my soul after this one. She wrapped this book all in one pink bow and she is now giving it to you. This is a gift. This book is a gift.
What more can I say other than the situations, the characters, the writing – was amazing? I can talk and talk and talk about this (probably cry between retellings) but I just want you, whoever is reading this review, to know this: READ THIS BOOK. You need to have this in your life. You won’t expect the punch until it hits you, but this book throws a mean hook. You won’t regret it, PROMISE DOUBLE PROMISE. EVEN BLOOD PROMISE.
