My love for Kennedy Ryan reaches the skies, even the universes that we don’t know yet. Her latest book came out and before it even came out I already wanted it so badly.

We meet Cam and Jo in the previous books, in Walsh and Kerris’ love story. Cam was Kerris’ husband for a while and Jo was Walsh’s cousin. Between When You Are Mine and Loving You Always, so MANY THINGS HAPPENED I ALMOST LOST MY HEAD. AND MY HEART. If you want to know how everything went down and how Cam came to be the person he is in Be Mine Forever, read the previous two books.

I wasn’t very “in love” with Cam before BMF. With everything that happened in those books, I was not really thrilled, if you want to say it like that, to see him again. But as always Kennedy changes my mind with those AMAZING TEASERS TUESDAYS and you know what? Cam’s story needed to be said for you to understand him and why he was that way. I didn’t even think about it in the first two books, about all the hardship Cam went through and all of his demons inside of him.

Be Mine Forever is the story of Cam and Jo. Friends turned lovers. /cough MY FAVE TYPE OF ROMANCE. Jo has been in love for Cam for some time… MANY YEARS. I don’t even know how Jo does it. I love her. She’s such a model to follow in her footsteps. Everything she does, she does it to do good and her actions speak louder. All throughout the book, I fell in love with Jo a little bit more until I just wanted to give her a hug and tell her everything was going to be okay.

WARNING: There are some parts in Cam’s flashbacks that are intense and I felt sad and horrible in Cam’s place. If you can’t handle violence, I do not recommend you to read this. I don’t want to spoil anything by putting this but I think it needs to be said. I mean if you go and read it and find those scenes not quite what you want, then that would be so bad for you and I don’t want to cause you any displeasing or Kennedy. Because she writes her books for people to feel happy. And this book is Cam and Jo’s happiness.

So yeah there’s lots of ups and downs but definitely worth the wait.

This is perfect for Kerris because, especially in the beginning of the series, she lives the very opposite of this statement. She allows the abuse she suffered as a child and the parental abandonment she experienced to feed her a lie. The lie is that she is not worthy of what will make her happy. That she is not worth sticking around for; to committing to. That lie leads her to a rash decision that changes the trajectory of all four characters’ lives. In book 2 we see her digging into her past; excavating her pain to understand how it mis-shaped her. And she emerges as someone who won’t allow her past to dictate her future.

WALSH BENNETT

This is at the core of who Walsh is. Who his mother, Kristeene Walsh Bennett, raised him to be. We are aware from the beginning Walsh is rich, but it is just as apparent that he feels a strong sense of responsibility. He once tells Kerris that he never feels guilty about his wealth, but he does feel responsible about how he uses it. This speaks of generosity, compassion and stewardship. This value, more than anything, tempers the ruthless drive and ambition his father fosters in him his entire life. It is the balance that keeps his feet on the ground and his heart with people in need.

JOANNE ELIZABETH WALSH

It is not only the content of this quote that makes it so Jo, but who said it. Fashion is huge to Jo. She attends all the fashion shows and only wears the very best, ever. She and her Aunt Kristeene bonded around fashion, in addition to their heart for the children their foundation serves. But you never feel that the things Jo has, have her. From a content perspective, Jo held a love in her heart for 17 years, and at times, especially when Cam married someone else, being with the person she loved seemed impossible. The same perseverance we see in her dealings as a philanthropist and advocate on behalf of orphans all over the world, we see in her relationship with Cam. She doesn’t really entertain the possibility of failure, and fortunately for Cam, neither did her heart.

CAMERON MITCHELL

Cam endured more in his life than the other characters in the cast of the BENNETT series. There are times in his life when he allows those hurts to define and confine him, but with the help of those he loves and of concerned professionals, he is able to put it all in perspective and learn from it. He is able, eventually to understand the lies he’s been tangled in all his life. In dealing with the places he thought most weak, he gains the most strength. The deepest lessons come from the deepest pain, and he learns the lessons well.
